Motorcycle crash victim in critical, but stable condition

A man injured in a motorcycle crash Thursday evening, June 12, in Lancaster Township, was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital in critical, but stable, condition.

Michael Cornell, a sergeant with the Lancaster Township police, said the motorcycle rider was taken by medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital after crashing into a pickup truck at around 6:10 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of East Lancaster and Yellow Creek roads.

The other person on the motorcycle, a woman, was taken by ambulance to a Pittsburgh hospital to be treated. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured, according to Cornell.

Harmony Fire District and Harmony EMS also responded to the scene.
