A Kittanning man was ordered to pay thousands of dollars in restitution as part of his sentence for falsifying a bank document to buy a property three years ago.

Ian M. Lenhart, 31, was sentenced Wednesday in Butler County Common Pleas Court to serve 18 months of probation, pay a $100 fine and pay $4,435 in restitution to RE/MAX Select Realty after he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of deceptive business practices.

In August 2022, state police said Lenhart falsified a proof of funds letter from his bank in an attempt to buy a property.
