'History' witnessed
While visiting the fledgling Saxonburg Farm Market on Tuesday, my 14-year-old granddaughter and I couldn’t help but overhear two very serious and official-looking law enforcement officers read out new government rules and regulations at the five small card tables of locals selling their farm market items.
That very morning I had tried in simple terms to answer my teen’s questions about government, which she had asked the previous evening.
“Our freedoms are being forcibly chipped away little bits at a time,” I told her.
At the market she texted her mom, “Wow, Grandma and I just saw history in the making.”
