Moniteau senior student awarded industrial maintenance scholarship

A Moniteau High School senior received a scholarship to support his education in electromechanical technology at the New Castle School of Trades.

Kolton Stroup was presented with an industrial maintenance scholarship by Ellwood, a $10,000 award, Friday, May 30.

According to a news release from Ellwood, the scholarship is part of the company’s efforts to build strong connections with local schools and support students who go on to be skilled trades professionals. The $10,000 award is available to graduating high school seniors and GED recipients pursuing education in mechatronics or equivalent industrial maintenance programs at accredited trade schools.

Stroup’s future studies with the industrial electromechanical technology program will prepare him for careers in manufacturing, energy and automation.
