N.J. woman charged with identity theft of Fairview Township man

A New Jersey woman is accused of stealing more than $14,000 from a Fairview Township man, according to police.

Ursula Kalenowski, 74, of Orange, N.J., was charged with felony identity theft, and one misdemeanor count each of possession of a crime instrument and possession of a counterfeit device following the alleged incident, which occurred between Nov. 20 and 22.

Police said Kalenowski used a counterfeit driver’s license with the 71-year-old man’s information to withdraw $14,535.25 from multiple Citizens Bank branches in New Jersey.

Kalenowski’s preliminary hearing is pending.
