A three-vehicle crash closed Route 228 in Middlesex Township for about an hour Friday morning.

Route 228 East in Middlesex Township has reopened after a three vehicle accident required its closure for about an hour Friday morning.

The wreck injured two people, including one minor, according to Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department firefighters.

The wreck occurred at about 8:30 a.m. and took about an hour to clean up.

The cars collided near Route 228's intersection with Logan Road, a section first responders say is a common area for accidents.

Both of the injured people were transported from the scene in ambulances, but neither were in critical condition.
