Evolution impossible
There was a very bitterly written letter to the editor in the Feb. 26 edition of the Butler Eagle on the subject of evolution. Out of that writer's own mouth I will answer him.
He says, "My belief is that scientific reality should not and does not conflict with religious faith. They are separate."
This has been the standard propaganda for 150 years. This is very clearly a statement of his faith, and his religious conviction.
This is not science; it is a philosophy.
The Supreme Court has already defined humanism as a religion, and the hypothesis of evolution is the keystone of this religion.
This is the organized religion that has defined its terms by the statement above.
The Humanist Manifesto II has a very clearly stated agenda.
The writer of the Feb. 26 letter accuses the creationist fossil hunters of having no education. He basically states his opinion that self-taught individuals are worthless and have nothing of value to say.
What absolute arrogance. What historical nonsense.
If he wants a genuine doctor-Ph.D. to debate, I can find him 500 or so who are able to do so.
He makes a categorical statement of opinion that Earth is 4.46 billion years old. He has no evidence to substantiate this position. He didn't give any.
I've been studying his philosophy's evidence for 35 years. The more I study it, the less there is of it.
However, in turn, I have found at least 25 major lines of scientific evidence showing that Earth and the universe cannot possibly be that old.
I am prepared to show that the opinion of evolution is being abandoned by more and more scientists.
It is being upheld by rich foundations, powerful corporations and arrogant educators, but not by science.
The written purpose statement of the United States says very clearly that "we hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."
Let's translate that into modern American. There is overwhelming evidence from science that evolution is impossible, and that a supernatural, intelligent, powerful person created Earth and the mankind on it.
All of our founding fathers agreed on this position. All of American law, science, business, education and religion were founded upon it.
Many died for daring to do so.
The humanist movement has no legal or logical right to change the definitions of the terms of the Constitution of the United States, by fiat or decree. Even the Supreme Court has so ruled.
This can be shown by evidence that exists in the real world.
How much evidence would it take to persuade the writer of the Feb. 26 letter that God created man? The gods he honors aren't big enough to accomplish the work.
