Betty J. Allison

Betty J. McKinnis Allison, 73, of New Castle died Monday afternoon at Jameson Memorial Hospital, New Castle.

Born Feb. 13, 1931, in Prospect, she was the daughter of Merl and Helen Barnhart McKinnis.

She was a member of the Prospect Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Dona Dale of New Castle and Debra Dellich of Slippery Rock; a son, David Allison of Lusby, Md.; a brother, Howard McKinnis of Koppel; and seven sisters, Ruth Sherman, June Reed, Ruby Brown, Faye King, Edna Mae Knauer and Bonnie Bolten, all of Butler, and Sandi Henricks of Slippery Rock. Seven grandchildren also survive.

Her husband, Donald Dale "Grumpy" Allison, whom she married July 20, 1956, died Nov. 30, 1990. An infant daughter also preceded her in death.

ALLISON - Services for Betty J. Allison, who died Monday, March 22, 2004, will be held at 7 p.m. today at ED & DON DECARBO FUNERAL HOME, 3000 Wilmington Road, New Castle. Entombment will be at Castleview Memorial Gardens, New Castle.Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
