Hunter faces fine for albino deer kill

MILLVILLE — A hunter is facing a $2,300 fine for killing an albino deer considered a neighborhood pet.

Maple Grove residents say they watched out for the snow white deer with its pink eyes and hooves. And several say they saw 26-year-old Eric Crebs of Stillwater shoot the deer from his van.

The shooting occurred about 9 a.m. on Dec. 11, within sight of a half-dozen houses.

Crebs said Wednesday he killed the deer. He said there were other deer nearby and he shot the albino accidentally.
