LYNDORA - The Butler Christian Women's Club will host a "Let Freedom Ring" continental breakfast from 9:30 to 11 a.m. July 13 at the Tanglewood Center on Austin Street.

Kay Wharton will present musical selections on the autoharp.

Lisa Harrington will speak on "Having a Clean House and a Clean Heart."

Cost is $3. Complimentary child care will be provided.

PROSPECT - St. Christopher at the Lake, a Catholic parish community of Moraine and McConnells Mill state parks and the surrounding area, will host a festival from noon to 6 p.m. July 17 at the church, on the corner of Routes 422 and 528.The event will include games, food, bingo, face painting, a clown, clogging and more.Chicken dinners will be sold at $8 for adults, $4 for children and free for those under 5.The blessing of cars, trucks, bikes, boats and more will be offered after every Mass.For information, call 724-865-2430.

GROVE CITY - The puppet ministry of Tower Presbyterian Church, Timely Tidings Troubadours, will perform July 5, 6 and 7 in three homes in Grove City.The shows will include biblical stories, contemporary songs and a newsbreak.The shows will be used to raise awareness about the church's vacation Bible school, set for the second week in July.Performances will be held Tuesday at the Keffer home, 44 Village Park Drive; Wednesday with "Live TCPM Broadcast" in the yard of Suzanne Howat, 600 Woodland Drive; and July 7 at 53 Kimberly Drive.All shows begin at 7 p.m. and last about 30 minutes. Attendees should take lawn chairs or a blanket. In inclement weather, shows will be canceled.

PARKER - The Old Time Gospel Hour Quartet will perform at 7 p.m. July 8 at the Park Hill First Church of God on Route 368.The group performs around the United States. The group formerly performed as part of evangelist Jerry Falwell's national ministry.Donations will be accepted.For information, call 814-358-2470.

WEST SUNBURY - The Rider Lutheran Church, 189 Rider Church Road, will host an old-fashioned strawberry festival from 4 to 7 p.m. July 9.Food for sale will include homemade ice cream, strawberries, shortcake, potato salad, macaroni salad, baked beans, hot dogs and chili dogs, hot sausage and beverages.For information, call 724-282-4578.

SCOTT TWP, Lawrence County - New Purpose Retreats, a Christian camp for people of all ages with physical or mental disabilities, will be offered in August at Deep Valley Christian Service Camp on 1073 Studebaker Road near Slippery Rock.Fee for the camp, set for Aug. 21 through 23, is $115.Attendees will participate in a variety of activities intended to offer a positive Christian experience.Space is limited.For information, call 724-530-2325 or 812-945-4117.
