W. Guy Pietz, 76, of Saxonburg died Sunday in his home.

Born Sept. 11, 1928, he was the son of Wesley C. and Rose Graham Pietz.

Guy, a graduate of Penn State University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, practiced veterinary medicine for years in southern Butler County.

He was the beloved husband of 49 years of Margaret M. McShane Pietz; dear father of Wesley C. (Maryanne) Pietz of New York, N.Y., Mark G. (Sandra) Pietz of Skoke, Ill., Julie A. (Scott) Coleman of Barrington, N.H., James M. (Yaimi) Pietz of South Side and Harry G. (Maria) Pietz of Oakmont; and brother of Rada P. Kaparakos of West View. Also surviving are nine grandchildren.
