BUTLER TWP — Butler County Community College will host the Teaming Up to Battle Cancer event — a baseball game and volleyball tournament — for 7-year-old East Butler baseball player Wesley Zablocki and Kiski Area assistant volleyball coach Jaime Moran, who are both battling cancer.

The baseball game, put on by the Potter Baseball Tour, will begin at 1 p.m. at the BC3 baseball field.

The volleyball tournament, featuring eight teams split up into two pools, will follow at 4 p.m. at the school’s field house.

The two events also will feature music, food, contests and prize drawings. All proceeds will go to Zablocki and Moran.

Zablocki was recently diagnosed with bone cancer in his leg. Moran is battling leukemia for the third time.
