CENTER TWP — Butler Township manager Ed Kirkwood says he will attend a meeting on Center Township’s proposed tax increment financing district on Wednesday at Unionville Fire Hall.

Kirkwood said the meeting is scheduled for 1 p.m., and will include state transportation officials, representatives from county government, Butler and Center townships. He said state Sen. Scott Hutchinson, R-21st, and Rep. Brian Ellis, R-11th, had also been invited to the meeting.

Center Township Supervisor Alan Smallwood said the meeting is not open to the public and declined to answer questions about what would be discussed or who would be attending.
