Raymond J. Varga

Raymond J. Varga, 78, of Middlesex Township died Wednesday at LAS/St. John Specialty Care Center, Mars.

Born March 27, 1927, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Percy and Mary Lawrence Varga.

He was a World War II Navy veteran and had been a lab technician at the Callery Chemical Division of MSA.

Mr. Varga was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North Hills.

Surviving are his wife, Nellie Michael Varga, whom he married Dec. 7, 1951; a son, Raymond Varga of Renfrew; four daughters, Adele Duffy of Mars, Leda Lyon of Smethport, Anna Varga of San Antonio, Texas, and Joan Peterson of Hilton Head, S.C.; and a brother, Donald Varga of Glenshaw. Three grandchildren also survive.

VARGA — Friends of Raymond J. Varga, who died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 until 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the McDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars. Services will follow at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bruce Stewart officiating. Burial will be at Mars Cemetery, Adams Township.Memorial donations may be made to the Reformed Presbyterian Church, 606 Thompson Run Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237; or LAS/St. John Specialty Care Center, Mars, PA 16046
