E. Diane Fennell, 64, of Railroad Street, Chicora, died unexpectedly of natural causes Friday at her residence.

Diane was born in Franklin on Aug. 5, 1944, the daughter of the late Russell W. and Mary T. Beck Hillwig.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chicora.

She especially enjoyed gardening, decorating for Christmas, collecting Santas, crocheting and ceramics. She was a member of the Chicora Women of the Moose.

In her earlier years she had been employed at Bobbi Brooks in Butler, and later at the Chicora Medical Center.

Surviving are three daughters, Rhonda Blystone (John) of Newell, W.Va., Erica Fennell of Chicora and Colleen Berg of Slippery Rock; six grandchildren, Nicole, Michael, Colby, Jonathan, Teddy and Willie; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, her twin sister Gale Bradley of Covington, La., Dottie Kelsea of Chicora and Rusann Anderson of Karns City; her husband, Gary L. Fennell of Chicora and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and her beloved dog, Emma.

<B>FENNELL</B> — Friends of E. Diane Fennell, who died Friday, May 22, 2009, will be received at the <B>Hile Funeral Home</B>, 339 Chicora Fenelton Road, from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Chicora, with the Rev. James A. Higgins, her church pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Chicora.Memorial contributions may be made to the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew.Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.hilefh.com.
