Zane Voltz singled and drove in two runs and teammate Ryan Fennell singled, doubled and drove in one as Saxonburg defeated Mars II 6-3 in the opening game of an Eagle County League best-of-5 semifinal series Friday at Butler County Community College.

Colin McKee pitched 6 1/3 innings for the win.

Eric King led Mars II with two singles and a run scored.

Game 2 is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Callery Field.
