PHILADELPHIA — “Baby you can drive my truck.” Yeah, you heard right.

Paul McCartney gave a private performance in Philadelphia last weekend during the American Trucking Association's Management Conference and Exhibition.

McCartney changed the lyrics to the Beatles song “Drive My Car” to play to the crowd of about 1,000.

Industry newspaper Transport Topics said McCartney played the two-hour show at a customer appreciation dinner given by Freightliner Trucks on Sunday.

BOSWELL — Faced with a choice of paying its utility bills or two part-time police officers, a tiny Western Pennsylvania borough has opted to pay its bills.Boswell Mayor Sue Sarver said “You can't not pay your utilities.”The Somerset County borough set aside about $21,000 a year out of its $240,000 annual budget for the officers. The borough has about 1,200 residents.But Sarver said utility costs associated with moving into a new borough building in August 2014 have put a strain on the budget. By defunding its police, the borough is relying on state police for coverage.Sarver is hoping to resolve the fiscal situation in time to again fund the police in March.

Franklin & Marshall takes back Cosby degreeLANCASTER — Another college has rescinded an honorary degree awarded to Bill Cosby.The board at Franklin & Marshall College voted last week to revoke the honor given 15 years ago when he was the commencement speaker.A spokesman said the school is also looking into returning the $100,000 Cosby gave to create a scholarship.
