L. Jean Young Dambach

L. Jean Young Dambach, 79, of Evans City died Thursday at home.

Born March 9, 1926, in Oxford, England, she was a daughter of Albert and Lydia Pendle Young.

She was Protestant.

Mrs. Dambach had retired as a nurse's aide from Passavant Retirement Center in Zelienople.

She loved gardening and playing bingo.

She is survived by two sons, Douglas Dambach of Evans City and John Dambach of South Carolina; a daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Lydia) Welsh of New Brighton; three brothers, Joseph Young Jr. of Butler and Robert and Kenneth Young, both of Evans City; five sisters, Mrs. Alfred (Kit) Jespersen, Mrs. Vera Dunmyre, Mrs. Julian (Jessica) Bieber and Mrs. Edward (Elizabeth) Green, all of Evans City, and Mrs. Walter (Margaret) Herr of Indiana; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Grove, who was killed in World War II and her second husband, Raymond Dambach, who died in December 1971. A son and a great-granddaughter also preceded her in death.

<b>DAMBACH</b> - Friends of L. Jean Young Dambach, who died Thursday, April 7, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at KINSEY-VOLZ FUNERAL HOME OF EVANS CITY, 328 W. Main St., Evans City. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday from the funeral home, with the Rev. Rosalyn Kummer, pastor of St. Johns United Church of Christ, Evans City, officiating.
