Nettie Belle Berlin

Nettie Belle Berlin, 86, of Jefferson Manor in Brookville, formerly of Big Bend near Emlenton, died Friday afternoon at Brookville Hospital following an illness.

Born Feb. 13, 1919, she was the daughter of S.C. and Ora Belle Logue Murray.

Mrs. Berlin was a lifelong member of the Big Bend United Methodist Church, where she was involved in all activities of the church.

She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star at Emlenton for years.

She is survived by her husband, William G. Berlin, whom she married Nov. 24, 1940, and they would have celebrated their 65th anniversary this November; one daughter, Brenda Berlin Rose, a medical missionary in Nicaragua; one son, Kenneth D. Berlin and his wife, Pat, of Brookville; one sister, Ruth McElroy of Bruin; one brother, Dale Murray of Big Bend; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

- Friends of Nettie Belle Berlin, who died Friday, Aug. 26, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at H. JACK BUZARD FUNERAL HOME, Main Street in Eau Claire. Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Big Bend Methodist Church with the Rev. Clara Kohlmeyer, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Big Bend Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Big Bend United Methodist Church, Emlenton, or a charity of choice.
