Scores 28 — 14 in final frame — to rally Seneca Valley

Zac Zajacs scored 14 points and hit four of his six 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to help the Seneca Valley boys basketball team overcome a double-digit deficit in the second half on the way to a 59-56 section win over Central Catholic Friday night.

Zajacs also added 11 rebounds for the Raiders in a game that went back and fourth.

Seneca Valley (6-3, 1-1) was down by nine after the first quarter, but stormed back in the second. Again the Raiders fell behind by 10, but rallied in the fourth quarter behind Zajac's sharp shooting.

Lauren Bash led Butler with a 536 series that featured two 201 games to lead the Golden Tornado girls to a 7-0 sweep of North Allegheny.

The Butler boys, though, suffered a narrow 4-3 loss to the Tigers.

Cole Thrash led the Tornado with a 592 series and a high game of 225. Jordan Reges was right behind with a 591 series and a high game of 237.

Chris Huff also had a strong night with a 587 series and a 209 high game.
