Candace Marie Madura

Madura

Candace passed away peacefully at sunrise Monday morning surrounded by her family in her home.

She was born Dec. 11 in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Geraldine "Gerry" Osborne and the late Harry Caldwell.

Candace graduated from Langley High School and after completing training at the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy, spent over 20 years as a beautician. She lived in Freedom with her husband for the past 20 years.

Candace was a strong and inspirational woman who will surely be missed. She never lost her great sense of humor and frequent smile while battling cancer for the past four years. She was a devoted mother and was an inspiration to all who knew her. She really loved her family, church, travel and sporting events.

She is survived by her husband, David Madura of Freedom; son, Patrick Malley and his wife, Natalia, of Arlington, Va., and son, Dennis Malley and his wife, Deborah, of Cranberry Township. She also is survived by three brothers, Preston Caldwell of Raleigh, N.C., and Mike Caldwell and Jack Caldwell, both of Pittsburgh; and by her father's wife, Myrtle Caldwell of Uniontown.
