First Saturday Devotions slated
The Apostolate of Fatima/Blue Army will have First Saturday Devotions beginning with an 8 a.m. Mass Saturday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N McKean St.
A meeting will follow in the Collins Room.
Academy to begin service projects
SARVER — Evangel Heights Christian Academy, 120 Beale Road, will begin Legacy Giving Back 2014 Tuesday in the Pittsburgh area.
Students will volunteer at World Vision, Lighthouse Foundation, Worthington Youth Camp, Butler Freeport Trail and many more.
Guest to visit St. Christopher
PROSPECT — The Apostolate of Fatima at St. Christopher at the Lake Parish, 232 N. Franklin St., will have First Saturday Devotions Saturday, beginning with the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 4 p.m., a Mass at 4:30 p.m. and a rosary after Mass.
Special guest Bernadette Conklin will be speaking on the Preborn Jesus Ministry in the church hall afterward. Take a nonperishable good for the needy.
Church organist will give concert
VALENCIA — John Cannon III, the new accompanist/organist at Gospel Fellowship Presbyterian Church, 161 McFann Road, will perform a concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at the church.
He will perform both sacred and secular music on the organ and piano.
Cannon is an alumnus of the Julliard School and has extensive experience in both contemporary and classical church music.
The concert is open to the public. There is no admission fee, but donations will be accepted in the church lobby. Refreshments will follow.

Church will host music celebration
PROSPECT — Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 143 Church St., is sponsoring a “Celebration of Music and Giving” at 3 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Those attending are asked to take a nonperishable food item to donate to the Prospect-Portersville Food Bank.
Local musicians performing include the Prospect Chime Choir, a guitarist, saxophonist, flutist and trumpeter. There will be also be opportunities to sing favorite hymns. Refreshments will be served.
Common shop shares items
The North Main Street Church of God, 1201 N. Main St. Ext., will host a fall common shop from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. Doors open at 9 a.m.
Common shop was created as a way to share material goods such as clothing, household items, toys and other goods with those in need. Items are given away to anyone who has a need. Nothing is sold.
There are no income limitations as long as items taken are for personal use.
