Concordia Ministries names 2017 leadership

Stephen Johnson

CABOT — The Concordia Lutheran Ministries board has elected leadership for 2017.

Stephen W. Johnson has been elected as chairman of the board. Peter Humphrey was elected as vice chairman.

Johnson served as chairman of the board last year, and is executive vice president and chief administrative officer of Consol Energy Inc. Johnson has been a CLM board member for 10 years. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Virginia and a juris doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

He and his wife, Tracey, have two sons, Sam and Adam, and live in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh. Johnson has been a member of First Trinity Lutheran Church in Oakland for more than 30 years.

Humphrey is in his third year as a Concordia board member. He has been president of Syntheon Inc. since 2012. He holds a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering from Penn State University and is a licensed professional engineer.

He and his wife, Terri, have two children, Rachel and Joshua, and live in Cranberry Township. They are members of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Freedom.

Concordia’s board is made up of 18 members representing 32 Lutheran churches in Western Pennsylvania.

It oversees 11 subsidiary corporations that specialize in continuum of care services, including adult day care, home case, hospice, personal case and retirement living.
