Christian Performing Kids will present the original musical, "For Such a Time as This," written by St. Paul Lutheran Church pastor, the Rev. William Brewer, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in Strobel Hall at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 215 N. Main St., Zelienople. The group is made up of a dozen seventh and eighth grade students from Seneca Valley Middle School. Admission is free, but donations are accepted. Call 724-452-4767.

Comtra Theatre, Route 19 in Cranberry Township, is staging "Rain, The Story of Sarah Thompson on a South Sea Island," written by Somerset Maugham, through June 14. "Seussical, The Musical" will run June 20 to July 5. Shows start at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Admission is $12 for plays and $15 for musicals. <B>Pittsburgh CLO</B> begins the 2008 summer season of musicals with "Oprah Winfrey Presents The Color Purple" running through June 15 at the Benedum Center, 719 Liberty Ave. For tickets, call 412-281-2822.<B>City Theatre</B>, 1300 Bingham St. on the South Side, is hosting "Bust" by Lauren Weedman through June 29. Curtain is at 7 p.m. Tuesdays, at 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays, at 5:30 and 9 p.m. Saturdays and at 2 p.m. Sundays. Tickets range from $15 to $46. <B>New Castle Playhouse</B>, 202 E. Long Ave. in New Castle, is hosting "Echoes of the War," two short plays by J.M. Barrie, famous for writing "Peter Pan," from Friday through June 22. The one-act plays are "The Old Lady Shows Her Medals" and "The New Word." Curtain is at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $10.
