Anna Belle Geyer

Anna Belle Geyer, 94, of 307 Spruce St., Butler, died at 11:11 p.m. Tuesday at her home.

Born June 2, 1915, in East Brady, she was the daughter of the late W.W. Barnhart and Nora Emminger Barnhart.

Mrs. Geyer was a member of the First United Methodist Church. For years, she volunteered in the church's office, assisting with administrative duties. She also served a teacher's aide in various schools in Butler.

Mrs. Geyer was a chaperone at the YWCA Friday night dances. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Geyer is survived by her daughter, Marcia Gray and her husband, Elliott, of Salisbury, Md.; a son, George David Geyer and his wife, Pat, of Sebastian, Fla.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great- grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Geyer was preceded in death by her husband, George M. Geyer, who passed away in May 1982.

<B>GEYER</B> — At the request of the family, there will be no visitation. A memorial service for Anna Belle Geyer, who died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009, will be later.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to VNA Hospice, Visiting Nurses Association, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, PA 16001.Arrangements are being handled by the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>; and information and a private guest book are available at www.thompson-miller.com.
