BUTLER TWP — The upcoming Performing Arts Series at Butler County Community College will feature six musical and two dance shows.

Opening the season on Sept. 15 will be ArcheDream for Humankind, combining visual art and vibrant dance. The troupe performs in hand-painted costumes under black lights to original music.

Other shows in the series are:

• Butler Symphony Chamber Players, Nov. 3

• Trinity Jazz Orchestra, Nov. 30

• North Pittsburgh Philharmonic Holiday Concert, Dec. 14

• Hot House Jazz Band, Feb. 9

• Renaissance City Winds, March 1

• Taylor 2 Dance Company, April 5

• Tornado Big Band, April 26.

All of these shows begin at 8 p.m. in the Succop Theater on campus.

A season ticket for all eight shows can be bought for $100 starting July 30. Individual tickets will be available Aug. 13 and cost $15 in advance and $17 at the door; students pay $10.
