Betty I. Andre

Betty I. Andre, 84, of Slippery Rock died at 9:45 a.m. Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital. She formerly lived in England, Chicora, Butler, Grove City and Pittsburgh.

Born Sept. 26, 1922, in England, she was the daughter of Harold and Daisy Larnach Domney.

She was a Protestant.

She enjoyed gardening and needle work, and she worked as a secretary for Town andCountry Cleaners in Chicora, and as a homemaker.

Surviving are her husband, Les Andre, whom she married on Feb. 10, 1945, in England; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Jillian)Double of Harrisville, Mrs. William (Valerie) Grandy of Mercer, Mrs. David (Vickie) Beachem of Clay Township; a son, Jack Andre of Slippery Rock; 17 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; 54 foster grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

<B>Andre</B> — A memorial service for Betty I. Domney Andre, who died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, 200 E. North St., with the Rev. David Panther officiating.Burial will be private with arrangements by <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, Butler.Information also is available at www.youngfuneralhomes.com.
