Dewayne C. Whitmire, 63, of Butler died at 11:05 a.m. Wednesday at Sunnyview Nursing Home.

Born March 1, 1942, in Hooker, he was the son of Raymond and Gladys Young Whitmire.

Mr. Whitmire was a member of the Rider Lutheran Church. He enjoyed his CB radio and spending time with nieces and nephews.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. James (Barbara) Fleeger of Butler and Shirley Fleeger of Butler; a number of nieces and nephews; a number of great-nieces and great-nephews; and one great-great-niece.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

WHITMIRE - Friends of Dewayne C. Whitmire, who died Wednesday, April 6, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at theYOUNG FUNERAL HOME, Butler. The funeral service will take place at 9 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Dennis R. Hindman Sr. of Rider Lutheran Church officiating.
