Favorite coach and why: Former Navy football coach Gary Tranquill. "My freshman year (1984), we were playing at Pitt and down by two scores late in the game. We ended up scoring twice for a (28-28) tie. The things he orchestrated in the final minutes of that game, it was like watching a concert violinist. He motivated me to become a coach."
