Andy Rusinko

Andy Rusinko, 82, of Moores Corner Road, Plain Grove Township, Lawrence County, died at 4:04 a.m. Saturday at Grove City Medical Center after an extended illness.

Born Jan. 14, 1926, in Turtle Creek, he was the son of Paul and Mary Garin Rusinko.

He retired in 1981 as a mechanic for United Airlines (Pittsburgh) following 30 years of service.

He graduated from Turtle Creek High School and The Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics. He was a member of the Tri-County Music Association and American Legion. He was a self-taught musician, accomplished guitarist, mandolin and banjo player.

He served in the Air Force for four years.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Marrone Rusinko, whom he married Dec. 30, 1965; a brother, Robert and his wife, Mary Carol, Rusinko of Turtle Creek; two sisters, Dorothy Simmons of Arlita, Calif., and Sharon and her husband, Jake, Addair of Mechanicsburg, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.

<B>RUSINKO</B> — Friends of Andy Rusinko, who died Saturday, March 22, 2008, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Smith Funeral Home</B>, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Herbert Goetz, pastor of the Plain Grove Presbyterian Church, officiating.Burial will be in South Plain Grove Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
