Dickson

Derek J. Dickson, 27, of Butler died Saturday in his home.

Born June 27, 1982, in Natrona Heights, he was the son of David Dickson and Anna Vesztergom Dickson.

Derek was a 2000 graduate of Butler High School and studied metrology at Butler County Community College.

He worked as a quality assurance technician and attended Community Alliance Church.

In addition to his parents, Derek is survived by a son, Deven Dickson of Butler; two brothers, Dan Dickson of Butler and Dave Dickson and his wife, Jessica, of Caro, Mich.; his paternal grandparents, Richard and Ruth Dickson, and his maternal grandparents, John and Magdalena Vesztergom, all of Butler; one nephew, Seth Dickson, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

<B>DICKSON — </B>Friends of Derek J. Dickson, who died Oct. 3, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME</B>, 124 E. North St., Butler. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Community Alliance Church, 800 Mercer Road, Butler, with the Rev. Dennis Krajacic of Community Alliance Church officiating.
