Emily J. Bartoli, 94, of Butler died Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born Nov. 11, 1914, in Butler, a daughter of the late Dario and Zelinda Petri Gori.

Emily was a homemaker, mother and grandmother. As a young lady, she worked at Spaide Shirt Factory in Butler. She also had worked as a nanny and housekeeper for Mrs. H.H. Phillips in Butler.

She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Butler and was a former member of the St. Michael Young Ladies Sodality and the Ladies Guild at her church.

Her husband, Vasco J. Bartoli, who was the founder and co-owner of Bartoli's Cleaners in Butler, preceded her in death Dec. 2, 1978.

Surviving are her son, Orlando "Landy" Bartoli of Butler; two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Linda) Bilski and Mrs. Robert (Mary Ann) Tritch, both of Butler; four grandchildren, Mrs. Sean (Karen) Sadler of Monroeville, Mrs. Thomas (Nicole) Thompson of Downingtown, and Nathan Bilski and Tobiah Bilski, both of Butler; a great-grandson, Evan Sadler; and several nieces and nephews.

Her infant daughter, Elaine, preceded her in death in 1942; along with her sister, Lee Kadunce, who died in 1974.

<B>BARTOLI </B>—<B> </B>Friends of Emily J. Bartoli, who died Tuesday, March 24, 2009, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Butler with Father Brian D. Boosel, O.S.B., officiating. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.The Bereavement Committee of St. Michael will conduct a parish vigil service at 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
