U.S. Rep. Kelly-led Medal of Honor Highway legislation passes House
On Monday, Dec. 9, the U.S. House of Representatives passed legislation cosponsored by U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly, R-16th, aimed at officially dedicating U.S. Route 20 as the National Medal of Honor Highway.
U.S. Route 20 stretches across the contiguous United States, from Oregon to Massachusetts, including a small section in Erie County, part of Kelly’s district.
The bill has already passed the Senate as well and will soon head for President Joe Biden’s desk for signature. The governments of all 20 states through which Route 20 passes have designated their own state Medal of Honor highways.
