Charles W Jamison
Charles W Jamison, 89, of 138 Farm Lane in West Sunbury, formerly of North Duffy Road, died at 2:05 a.m. Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Butler, Aug. 19, 1915, he was the son of John and Florence Watters Jamison.
He retired in 1977 as turn foreman at Plant 2 at Armco-Butler Works after 40 years.
Mr. Jamison was a member of the First English Lutheran Church and was attending the First Baptist Church. He also belonged to the Armco Management Club, Victory Lodge 694 F&AM, the Ancient & Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of New Castle and the Fraternal Order of Police. He was a life member of the VFW and a member of the Butler American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Beatrice Marian Schlagel Jamison, whom he married Aug. 19, 2004; a daughter, Patricia Marie Smith of Grove City; two grandsons, Joel and Greg Smith; and a great-grandson, Xander Smith. Also surviving are seven stepchildren, 22 step-grandchildren and many step-great-grandchildren.
His first wife, Olive Marie Thorn Jamison, died in September 1975; and his second wife, Dorothy Virginia Jamison died June 1, 2000. An infant son, a brother and four sisters also preceded him in death.
JAMISON - Friends of Charles W. Jamison, who died Monday, May 2, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First English Lutheran Church with the Rev. James Dollhopf, pastor of First English Lutheran Church, officiating.
