Glade Run Lutheran Services
Glade Run Lutheran Services is a Pennsylvania nonprofit organization that provides residential services, in-community services such as foster care and counseling, educational services and specialty services such as horticultural and animal- assisted therapy.
Glade Run serves over 1,300 children, youth and families each year.
Glade Run, which employs more than 500, was established in 1854 by William Passavant as the Orphan's Home and Farm School and remains at its original location on Beaver Road in Zelienople.
In the past several years Glade Run has responded to the needs of the community by expanding some of its programs. In 1999, it expanded its outpatient counseling services to Butler and Pittsburgh.
In 2002, Glade Run completed construction of its new, state-of-the-art residential treatment facility on its main campus. With the opening of this new building, Glade Run is able to provide residential services to an additional 56 children. In addition, Glade Run expanded its family-based services to serve Beaver County.
Glade Run recently has expanded the services that it provides from its Butler office to include intensive case management. The Butler office provides family-based, intensive case management, outpatient counseling, and in-home services.
The executive director is Charles T. Lockwood, M.Div., Ed.D.; Christopher Phillips, M.S, director of finance; Elizabeth Hines, director of residential treatment services; Victor R. Adebimpe, M.D., medical director; Oliver Stedeford, director of community services and Kara Rutowski, CFRE, director of resource development.
