Members of the Bernard Piroch family of Whitestown Road in Butler Township happily surround a 1970 Maverick, an unexpected Christmas gift from Joe Jack, far right, of Jack's Auto Sales, Ekastown. Jack donated the car and U.S. Rep. Frank White chose the winner. The 13-member Piroch family, who had previously done their traveling together in two cars, may have room in their new vehicle for Heidi, their St. Bernard. There are seven drivers in the family. All the Pirochs, except for Barbara, who works as a nurse, were on hand when Jack presented them with the keys to their new car on Dec. 27, 1969.
