Back in October of 1970, the Powder Ridge Rock Company was ready to perform for the Welcome Wagon Spook Party at the Butler VFW. The band, which played hard rock, was composed of a group of Butler High seniors who were already veteran musicians. Members included drummer Larry Cumberland, upper left; Marvin Koegler, center, organist and backup singer; Skip Daum, upper right, lead singer; Steve Grindel, seated on floor, lead guitarist; Kyle Fradenburgh, left front, rhythm guitarist, and Ira Keener, right front, bass guitarist.
