Striking a pose against hunger
Members of the youth group at Dutilh United Methodist Church in Cranberry Township recently participated in World Vision's 30-Hour Famine to raise awareness and money to fight hunger overseas and in the U.S. Held in late February, 29 young people gave up eating for 30 hours, performed service projects and collected donations for $7,700. A challenge grant from World Vision doubled the amount for a total of $15,400 — enough to feed 42 children for a year. Since 2003, Dutilh's youth have raised nearly $45,000 for World Vision.
