Bishop John J. Wright of the Diocese of Pittsburgh officiates at the cornerstone laying of the new St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church in Center Township on May 6, 1967. Groundbreaking for the church and new educational wing took place in November, 1966, and occupancy was planned for June, 1967. Keepsakes sealed in the cornerstone include coins and issues of the Pittsburgh Catholic and Butler Eagle. Joining Wright are the Rev. Francis Glenn, left, of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler and the Rev. William Lavelle, pastor of St. Andrew.
