Wreaths of remembrance

Veterans of American wars cross Main Street in Butler to lay wreaths at the base of the monument in Diamond Park during Memorial Day services on May 31, 1971. The program followed the annual parade, which was viewed by a large crowd. After the wreaths were placed, the Lyndora Legion rifle squad fired three volleys and taps was played by Kim McClelland of the CD of A Corps. Attorney James Taylor was the guest speaker.
