McElhaney

Stephanie McElhaney, a 2002 graduate of Karns City High School was promoted to staff sergeant Feb. 1.McElhaney entered the Air Force in September 2002. She is stationed at the 426th Information Operations Squadron, Ramstein Air Base, Germany, where she is a reports and analysis technician/electronic systems security assessment senior analyst. McElhaney is deployed to Iraq.She was awarded the Fourth Quarter Airmen of the Quarter for the 426 IOS and Air Combat Command Kaiserslautern Military Community. She also was awarded the 2006 Airmen of the Year for the 426 IOS, 67th Network Warfare Group/Wing and the 8th Air Force.——

Army Reserve Spec. <B>John Ward </B>is a member of 458th Engineer Battalion, New Kensington, who participated in Operation Sand Castle at Fort Irwin, Calif.Sand Castle provides a near-combat exercise in a desert environment for Army Reserve soldiers to sharpen their skills prior to deployment.Ward is a combat engineer with four years of military service.He is the son of Robert and Debbie Ward of Butler.The specialist is a 2001 graduate of Butler High School.——

<B>Tyler Ginter</B> has been commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Army after successfully completing the Army ROTC program and graduating with a bachelor's degree from Florida State University, Tallahassee.Ginter is the son of Ben and Cathy Ginter of Cabot.He is a 2003 graduate of Knoch High School.
