Jason Conti, an outfielder for the Class AAA Oklahoma City Redhawks of the Pacific Coast League, had a home run, a single and scored two runs in the Redhawks' 7-3 victory over Memphis Sunday.

Conti is batting .262 (11-for-42) this season with three home runs, six RBI, one triple and eight runs scored.

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Lance Armstrong is retiring after this year's Tour de France, ending a cycling career in which he inspired millions by overcoming testicular cancer to win his sport's signature event a record six straight times.The Tour de France ends July 24.Armstrong said Monday he began thinking about retirement after his victory last year. Spending a month away from his children recently helped to seal the decision.Speculation regarding Armstrong's future had grown in recent months, fueled by the rider's comments that he wanted to spend more time with his three children and step up his efforts in raising awareness and funds for fighting cancer.

NEW YORK - "Monday Night Football," a television institution that over 35 years has helped transform the NFL into a prime-time ratings draw, is leaving ABC and moving to ESPN beginning with the 2006 season.The new broadcast deal also brings the NFL to NBC for the first time since 1997. The network gets Sunday night football and will employ a flexible scheduling model.Moving "Monday Night Football" to ESPN, which currently broadcasts Sunday night games, keeps the brand under The Disney Company umbrella. Disney owns both ESPN and ABC.
