Community Life Church holds its service at McQuistion Elementary School.

The 21-day Daniel Fast will begin Jan. 7. Check the resources on www.CLCButler.org or at the info hub Sunday.

The leadership study “In Search of Timothy” will begin meeting from 7 to 8:15 p.m. Jan. 7 at the YWCA, 120 W. Cunningham St. Children in kindergarten to sixth grade will meet at Pastor Ben’s house. Parents will provide child care on a rotating basis.

The weekly prayer meeting resumes Tuesday. Pastors Steve and Mamie will pray from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

FIRST BAPTIST

First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., will have an 8:30 a.m. breakfast Sunday followed by a 9 a.m. prayer service. Sunday school and morning worship will be at the usual times.

The women’s Bible study will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Dittmer home.

Grace@Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., will welcome new pastor Tara Lynn at 10 a.m. Sunday.

Faith Shapers will meet Sunday to go bowling.

Butler Relay For Life will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the church.

GRACEWAY

GraceWay meets each Sunday morning at the Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

Beth Ackelson, Michelle Huff and Mackenzie Mead will provide music for the Sunday worship service.

HILL UNITED PRESBYTERIAN

The Lord’s Supper will be celebrated at the Sunday service of Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St. The church office will be closed Thursday and Friday.

MOUNT CHESTNUT PRESBYTERIAN

Mount Chestnut Presbyterian Church, 727 Old West 422, will include the Lord’s Supper at the Sunday services. These services also will include the installation and ordination of church officers.

The food cupboard will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

The buildings and grounds support team will meet at 7 p.m. Monday.

The Ladies Lunch Bunch will meet at noon Tuesday. Registration is requested.

The youth group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 7.

NEW LIFE CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES

New Life Christian Ministries, 139 Knoch Road, Saxonburg, will celebrate the Lord’s Supper at its worship gatherings this weekend.

The second annual New Year’s at New Life will be from from 8 tonight to 12:15 a.m. Thursday. Take a favorite appetizer or dessert to share and board games, puzzles or card games.

The Lord’s Supper will be celebrated Sunday to start the New Year at Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Jefferson St.

There will be a luncheon celebration of baptism following worship Jan. 11 in the memorial room.

“Revelation Revealed,” an adult education series, will begin at 9:15 a.m. Jan. 11 in the church library.

ST. JOHN’S LUTHERAN

St. John’s Lutheran Church on Main Street in Connoquenessing will celebrate Holy Communion at the Sunday worship service.

The January cause of the month is the Connoquenessing Meals on Wheels.

ST. JOHN’S UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST

Elders and deacons will be installed during the Sunday worship service at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 501 E. Main St., Evans City.

Consistory will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the narthex.

ST. LUKE'S LUTHERAN

St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, will celebrate the first Sunday after Christmas. Between services, there will be coffee fellowship at 9:15 a.m. and Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.

Senior high school youths with outreach and evangelism ministry will help at the 2 p.m. Sunday worship service at Elmcroft Assisted Living.

SUMMIT PRESBYTERIAN

Members of Summit Presbyterian Church, 181 Caldwell Drive, will remove decorations from the church at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Communion will be served during Sunday worship.

The women’s group will meet at 6:15 p.m. Monday, and the men’s group will meet at 7 p.m. Monday.

Information for the church’s annual report is due at the office before Jan. 8.

TRINITY LUTHERAN

The church office at Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township, will be closed until Monday.

The men’s ministry breakfast will be at 8 a.m. Saturday.

The gathering will be at 6 p.m. Monday at the Bachmans.

The deadline for year-end ministry reports is Monday.
