PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Passion advanced to the National Women's Football Association title game with a 49-15 romp over the Cleveland Fusion in the league semifinals at Cupples Stadium Saturday night.

The Passion, who feature several area players, face Columbus (Ohio) in the title game July 21 in Nashville, Tenn.

COLOGNE, Germany — Wladimir Klitschko beat Raymond Brewster with a technical knockout after six rounds on Saturday to successfully defend his IBF and IBO heavyweight titles.The Ukrainian clearly dominated the first five rounds, making repeated contact with his strong left jab that largely went unanswered.Brewster seemed to be standing up to the constant punishment, but two massive left-right combinations in the sixth round rocked the American. Before the seventh could start, Brewster's trainer slapped his towel on the canvas and referee Sam Williams called the fight.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Brett Rinker, 12, of Slippery Rock, shot a 77 at Ravenwood Golf Club on Friday and qualified for the U.S. Kids Golf World Championship.This will be Rinker's second appearance at the event, which will be held next month in Pinehurst, N.C., and features junior golfers from 30 countries in a 54-hole competition.

HAVEN, Wis. — Brad Bryant took advantage of another U.S. Senior Open flameout by Tom Watson Sunday, shooting a 4-under-par 68 to complete the second-biggest comeback in tournament history.Bryant's birdie on the 16th hole at Whistling Straits gave him the lead as Watson frittered away six shots in a five-hole stretch on the back nine — the latest in a series of final-round disappointments for Watson in the high-profile senior major.It was the first victory in a senior major for Bryant, who finished second in the 2006

Watson shot a 6-over 78 to finish 1 under for the tournament, behind Bryant, Ben Crenshaw at 3 under and Loren Roberts at 2 under.

HARRISBURG — Three Butler County American Legion baseball players advanced to the East-West Showcase, to be held at Harrisburg's Riverside Stadium on Aug. 4 and 5.The players are Butler Township third baseman Chris Codispot, Prospect shortstop Mark White and Mars pitcher Weston Hillegas.
