Nine Butler County American Legion baseball players have advanced to Clearfield for tonight's second-round of all-star games.
Third baseman Chris Codispot and outfielder Ken Rosenbauer of Butler Township, outfielder Travis McDougall and shortstop Mark White of Prospect, first baseman Josh Marchinoski of Butler City, catcher Ryan Geibel of East Butler, outfielder Cruz Eshenbaugh of West Sunbury, second baseman Caleb Trombatt of Meridian and pitcher Wes Hillegas of Mars will be among region players showcasing their skills tonight.
The top 19 players from the Clearfield game will compete in the All-West Legion All-Star Game July 6 at Altoona's Blair County Ballpark.

The measure would've imposed strong sanctions for violators, including a half-season suspension for first-time offenders.The decision will not change the current program.
