FARMINGTON— Rob McClellan of Butler Country Club fired a 69 and 73 on Monday to move up to second place at the 2008 Falling Rock Classic held at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort's Mystic Rock course.

McClellan carded a 69 in Sunday's first round, which had placed him third, and has a three-round total of 211, five strokes behind Barry Evans of the Berry Hills Country Club.

Other area notables include John Aubrey Sr. of Aubrey's Dubbs Dred (t-8, 217) and Joe Boros of Treesdale Golf and Country Club (25th, 223).

Rob and Rich McClellan won the pro-am portion of the event Sunday.

The East Butler American Legion baseball team dropped an 8-5 decision to Cochranton in the first round of the Pennsylvania Region 8 AmericanLegion playoffs Saturday.Cochranton plated three runs in the ninth inning to pull out the win.
