Three wrestlers from the Butler elementary program qualified for the Middle Atlantic Wrestling Association Western Regional in Shippensburg Saturday.

Sammy Dietrich at 70 pounds, Scott Dietrich at 95 and Christian Sequete at 93 pounds qualified for the regional through the Brookville district competition.

The top four placers in each weight class Saturday advance to the Atlantic East National Finals May 1 in Maryland.

PUNXSUTAWNEY — Four Butler County area players will participate in the 11th annual Alice R. Kozel Foundation District 9 Basketball All-Star Games Saturday at Punxsutawney High.The girls game starts at 4 p.m. while the boys game begins at 6. A 3-point shooting contest will be held at halftime of each contest.Union's Scott Booth and Reed Terwilliger of A-C Valley will play for the boys White team while Brooke Pollock of Union and Jenna McCorry of Moniteau will hit the floor for the girls White team.

ORLANDO, Fla. — An attorney for Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Santonio Holmes says he has mailed Orlando Police investigators evidence that will exonerate his client against allegations that he threw a glass at a woman in a nightclub.Attorney Adam Swickle refused to say Thursday what the evidence was since it is part of an ongoing investigation.Orlando Police Department spokeswoman Barbara Jones also refused to say whether detectives had received anything.Anshonae Mills filed a lawsuit last month claiming Holmes threw a glass at her, cutting her above the eye. In the lawsuit, she said Holmes and a police officer intimidated her so she wouldn't press charges.Mills changed her mind, and the case has been reopened by the Orlando police.
