Rusted Root will play a New Year's Eve concert at the Carnegie Library Music Hall, 510 E. 10th Ave., Munhall. Pittsburgh's own bluegrass rock band will perform a show for all ages starting at 9 p.m. tonight. River City Brass Band will take the stage for performances at 8:30 and 10 p.m. tonight at the Byham Theater, 101 Sixth St., as part of the festivities for First Night Pittsburgh, the family-friendly arts and culture festival on New Year's Eve that begins at 6 p.m. and ends with a countdown and fireworks beginning at 11:45 p.m. Passes to attend all the events will be available at the Theater Square box office, 655 Penn Ave. Passes cost $8; children age 5 and younger are admitted free.
