After a year gap, Middlesex Community Day returned to the township Saturday, July 25, bringing more than 30 local food trucks, vendors and artisans to the community park.
The event, organized by Middlesex Township administrative assistant Brandi Barkey, is meant to bring people together and provide activity people can enjoy.
Barkey said the later start time of this year’s event was to encourage more attendees to stay through the fireworks. It went from 3:30 until 9 p.m. Saturday.
The community day was her first time supervising an event of its scale, but, she said, she plans to get feedback from people who went to make next year’s event an even bigger crowd-pleaser.
Middlesex Community Day also had a raffle, face painting, balloon twister, foam party, bounce houses and petting zoo, as well as live music throughout the day.
