Everything in its place Maridon hosts Feng Shui workshop
The Maridon Museum will host a “Feng Shui Workshop: Your Home and Office — Reading the Metaphors Influencing Your Life” from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 6.
The session will be conducted by Fawn Chang, an interior designer and Feng Shui master.
She will teach participants how to reinvent their living space through this ancient Chinese practice balancing the energies of any given space for the health and good fortune of the people inhabiting it.
The cost is $25 for non-members and $20 for members; lunch and all materials are included. Reservations are required, as space is limited. Call 724-282-0123 for reservations.
Another upcoming Maridon program is a Lucky Dragon Casino Night from 6:30 to 11 p.m. Aug. 5.
The museum at 322 N. McKean St. is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and by appointment only Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays. Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and students, and free for children younger than 8. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Tours are led by trained docents and are available with advance notice. The museum also has a gift shop specializing in objects relating to China and Japan. Visit www.maridon.org.
